Brazil Serie A 2009
Everything you ever needed to know about Brazil is here (or soon will be); World Cup 2014, Brazil Serie A, Brazilian Icons and Sporting Heroes, Brazilian Football, Football Teams, more soccer and even more football and some...
Corinthians are back in the top flight for 2009 after a shock Serie A exit in 2007. They have rebuilt the team and look decent outsiders for a top 6 spot. They will however have plenty of competition for that top 6 spot from the likes of the well organized Sao Paulo, the illustrious Flamengo, the ever dangerous Cruzeiro. Not to mention fellow Paulista teams, Santos and the very dangerous Palmeiras (Corinthians arch-enemy). Botafogo always flatter to decieve, but Internacional have a good chance of a top 6 along with the north-eastern outsiders of Sport and Vitoria.
Whichever way the Serie A cookie crubles for 2009 we are in for a feast of Brazilian soccer right through until December.
From a personal point of view I just hope my favourite Serie A team, Nautico (OK, OK, I can hear you laughing) can avoid the drop to Serie B, it's gonna be a long season for Nautico fans I think.
